With the Nokia N97 and the iPhone 3G S both coming to market on the 19th June (just a week from today folks) we couldn’t resist doing a side by side tech comparison of the two handsets for our loyal readers.

Now, this doesn’t include functionality, like Apple’s voice control; nor does it take into account each company’s representative app store, but it sure feels good to have them side by side like that. So, what’s it gonna be?

Seems to me that Apple still have the EDGE over Nokia ………unless you,re really going to want to use your phones camera function in a semi serious way……..the Zeiss lens has to take a better picture, right??
But what is price differential between the two phones………??

I think Apple doesn’t have video recording capabilities. And it doesnt have QWERTY keyboard. only virtual (touchpad).. HSDPA 7.2MBPS.??? How many countries has such a speedy network??? Still there are more flaws in iphone.. Iphone is not worth its pricing. Digital compass is also available in N97.. TV output is not available in Iphone.. There are only 2 good unbeatable specification in Iphone.. First one is MultiTouch and the Second on is its processor speed 600Mhz and 256MB RAM.. But what to do with that..?? Personally I feel the UI in Iphone is not good as N97.. Its easy to modify the screen in Iphone.. But its much easier in N97.. The Symbian OS gets the upper hand.. Iphone OS is not easy / good to use alike N97.. May be Nokia should reconsider the price of N97 (US$699).. May be Palm Pre will get some upper hand..
But still I give few extra votes to N97.. I have already done my pre-order after a loooooong loooooong research and comparison between all the advanced phones available in the whole World.
Choose your phone wisely according to your needs.. Donot choose a phone then make your needs..

Well, as a matter of fact, Iphone does support QWERTY, though ure right only virtual keyboard. The IPhone 3G S does have video capabilities and has a very good lens at that. But prob the N97 has a bit of advantage there anyway, but then again i have a system camera to get those pictures taken instead.

Digital compass is also available in IPhone 3G S, sÃ¥ the negatives arent that many. Then sure, the iPhone is pricy, but then again its the most good looking phone on the market imo. And its fast. Also, impressive facts from Apple as they have speeded up the phones OS remarkably so i think atm Apple is the lead developer of phones and software.
