ASUS Lamborghini VX5 with 1TB Solid State Drive landing next month
We’ve just caught word that the new ASUS Lamborghini VX5 will be hitting the shelves in Italy before the end of June, and boy-oh-boy, what a spec sheet…
The VX5 will come packing a high-def 1080p 16-inch display, NVIDIA GeForce GT130M graphics card, 4GB of RAM (DDR3) and a whopping 1-terrabyte Solid State Drive (SSD). Wait, hold up, that’s not all though.
We’d expect with a high-end laptop, that there’s sure to be all manner of techno-joy waiting for us in the VX5, and we know for sure that there will be a Blu-ray drive on board.
Behind the scenes is the heart of the machine, the highly capable Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 processor. Now, we know some of you are as geeky as us, so here it is, the Q9000’s vitals; 6M Cache, 2.00 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB.
We’re pleased to see that manufacturers are now starting to look at the commercial viability of larger SSD-based machines, although when we might see the Lamborghini VX5 on our shores is unclear, we’ll keep you updated.
If however you’re one of our resident Italian readers, then lucky you. The VX5 will be on sale before the start of July according to the report over at NotebookItalia; the price is undisclosed but we’re thinking that those on the lookout for a budget laptop should probably keep on looking, still, it’ll still be cheaper than an actual Lamborghini.
