Sony Ericsson X10 April release date confirmed by Vodafone, exclusivity not
Vodafone has officially confirmed that it will be offering the feature-packed Sony Ericsson X10 in April this year…
A “Pre-Interest” page popped-up over at Vodafone UK’s official website for keen UK punters to opt-in for updates on when the handset becomes available.
Vodafone is currently saying that it’s set for release in April,
somewhat contradicting comments from an Orange employee who told us that it was coming to its network in March.
Some are reporting that the X10 will be a Vodafone exclusive, we’ve tried to confirm this rumour from various sources and so far have been told that “it’s too early to tell if anyone will have an exclusive”, and that “there is no information on this at the moment.”
Right now we’re assuming that the X10 won’t be an exclusive for Vodafone, but with a mightily impressive spec list it’d be quite the catch if it did manage to bag some alone time with the 8-megapixel monster.
It’s been covered in some detail already, but the most notable specs of the X10 include:
- 4-inch 854 x 480 pixel touchscreen display
- Android OS with Timescape/Mediascape UI
- 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED-flash, face/smile detection, geo-tagging, and touch focus controls
- Video recording capability – WVGA@30fps
- 1Ghz Snapdragon processor
- 1GB internal memory with microSD expansion slot
- A-GPS
- 3G/HSDPA connectivity
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- Mobile TV compatible
For more details check out the official X10 Vodafone page or the videos below, we’ll let you know if we get confirmation of any other carriers.
