12 awesome PlayStation 3 (PS3) releases still to come in Q1
PlayStation 3 owners are going to be burning holes in their wallets this first quarter of the year…
It looks to be the best start to a year so far for PS3 owners, with several high profile sequels on the way, as well as some very interesting new IPs.
So far we’ve already had Darksiders: Wrath of War
Not long after MAG pops up, another offering from the developers at Level 5 will be with us, enter, White Knight Chronicles (2/2/10). This Japanese role playing game looks extremely interesting and with new online features it could well add new value to the genre.
Coming a week later, the 9th of February is a date you might want to stick in your diary as three momentous games are being released.
The sequel to the award winning Bioshock, Bioshock 2, is due to hit our shores. Lucky earlier reviewers are already raving about it, so it’s sure to be a hit in the gaming charts.
Star Ocean the Last Hope: International is heading our way too on the 9th, this Sci-Fi fantasy RPG looks like it will be another good one for fans of the genre to get their teeth into.
If you find RPGs a little slow-paced then you’ll be pleased to hear that hack and slash ‘em up Dante’s Inferno is also releasing on the 9th. Think of it as a make-do until God of War 3 if you must, but the demo on the PSN store already convinced us to give
this game a whirl, so at least check the demo out.
Moving swiftly along, you may have heard about the next big hitter, Heavy Rain. It’s a new IP from Quantic Dream and the French developers look like they might have cracked a new style of gaming.With stunning graphics and interesting control scheme it will be intriguing to see what people make of it.
Also coming out on the 23rd of Feb is something for people that like Co-op games, Lost Planet 2. Picking up where the original Lost Planet left off, the sequel looks like it is offering more of the same great run ‘n’ gun gameplay. This time with a co-op online feature that hopes to keep you coming back after the credits roll.
If all that wasn’t enough for shooter fans then Battle Field: Bad Company 2 will be another great option; with huge maps and vehicles it is more than the average shooter. The Beta for this was great fun and despite it being only one map it never got boring, so look out for this one on the 2nd of March.
The last two games getting a mention you will probably already have pre-ordered , if not – why!? The 9th of March sees the arrival of Final Fantasy XIII, a JRPG with millions of fans around the world. We’re eagerly awaiting this one.
And lastly, God of War 3 fights it’s way onto our shelves on the 16th of March. Unsurprisingly the third console installment of the critically acclaimed PlayStation exclusive. We simply cannot wait to take control of Kratos once again and wreak havoc in ancient Greece.

Wow you fail because MAG is such a huge benchmarks for online gaming even your precious xbox live creators are learning a thing or two on psn. But hey have fun playing 8 vs 8 games.
Wow you fail because MAG is such a mediocre game. All those 6/10’s? They deserved it. Have fun playing a game with 256 players on the battlefield and only seeing about 16 of them at a time, dumbass.

LOL, the same Mass Effect 2 that is 99% likely to end up on the PS3 in about 10 months, just like nearly every other 360 exclusive? 360 sales are pitiful because it’s a pitiful console, which is why it can’t keep hold of exclusives anymore. Bioshock, Star Ocean, GTA: Episodes From Liberty City………….LOL, 360 can’t keep ANY games exclusive, what a joke.

You forgot about Yakuza 3 and Quantum Theory, both launching in March.
Uh…Lost Planet 2 has been delayed until May I think it was. It is definitely not coming out Q1. And how Bayonetta wasn’t mentioned as a title that has already released? It’s easily one of, if not THE, best action game ever, beating out even the likes of Ninja Gaiden which has long been king of that genre in my eyes. GoW is great yes, but it’s gameplay is very simple and a complete joke in terms of depth when compared to NG, DMC, or Bayo.
MAG is awesome. It got low scores cuz it is only multiplayer. Also, anyone who disses the ps3 lineup is either a wii gamer, or a butthurt xbot…

Yeah then later in the year we get Agent, Gran Turismo 5, Modnation Racers, Resistance 3, and Killzone 3 and maybe like 5-7 more exclusives that will be announce at E3, but man i wish i had an XBOX so i could play Mass Effe… oh wait i can play that on the pc wow no need for an XBOX!!!
