Sony Ericsson X10 release delayed until April?
We’re hearing that the Sony Ericsson X10 Android wunderphone might be getting a teeny-weeny delay…
According to online rumour, always the most reliable of news sources, the Xperia X10’s original release date was set for February 2010, however, one of our news hounds just let us know that the UK company (handtec.com) he ordered from is now informing its customers that the handset isn’t due for release by Sony Ericsson until April.
Of course, this might just be a situation of crossed-wires, and we’re naturally hoping that it’s only this retailer that has stocks delayed but it’s not beyond Sony Ericsson’s past form to suffer release setbacks, the original X1 and the Aino come to mind.
If it’ turns out to be accurate, it’s difficult to know whether Sony Ericsson is delaying the phone because they want to make it better, or because something is wrong with it? Or perhaps there’s nothing amiss and it’s simply to avoid Satio-esque problems.
Still, the phones they have produced (even with the delays) have created some masterful technological leaps worthy of the wait, so we’re still keen to get our hands on the Android powered monster, check out our previous coverage for a more in depth look at the handset’s specs.
For what it’s worth the Play.com X10 pre-order page is still showing the 19th February release date, so fingers crossed, eh.
