Motorola Milestone (Droid) UK release date officially confirmed

Heads-up folks, the much anticipated Motorola Milestone now has a confirmed UK release date…

The Motorola Milestone will be available to buy from 7th December according to a press release forwarded to us from Motorola.

Online retailer Expansys has somehow bagged a time-limited exclusivity period on the Android 2.0-powered handset’s UK release “until the end of the year”.

If you missed our rundown on the German launch of the Milestone then there’s a brief recap of some key specs below.

• 3.7-inch capacitive 854×480 pixel display
• 5-megapixel snapper with dual-LED flash
• Sliding Qwerty keyboard
• HSDPA/HSUPA
• Wi-Fi
• A-GPS
• microSD support
• Bluetooth 2.1

The handset is priced at £449.99 SIM-free (inc.VAT) and is available to order now for delivery in 8 working days.
Unlike the American Droid version of the device, the Milestone will support multi-touch and we just can’t wait to get our hands on what is being touted as “the thinnest QWERTY slider on the market” at 13.7-mm.
