Nokia N900 release date delayed
Word on the street is that the Nokia N900’s release date has slipped a bit…
That’s right folks, the Maemo 5 powered Nokia N900 flagship device may not be arriving on October the 19th as we might have expected.
A pre-order page at Amazon.co.uk has popped up listing the expected release as October 26th and the official page over at maemo.nokia.com lists the “tentative delivery date” as November 2009.
The good news is this that this could just about fit nicely with Amazon’s expected release date; the bad news is that it sounds like this date may well be subject to further change.
We’ve already posted news of the N900 recently, but for those that missed it there’s a brief recap of the highlights below.
- Maemo 5 OS
- 3.5-inch 800×480 touchscreen display
- 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss optics camera, with autofocus, dual-LED flash, 3x digital zoom & geo-tagging
- 32GB internal memory, expandable up to 48GB using microSD card
- Full Qwerty keyboard
- HSDPA/HSUPA (10Mbps/2Mbps, respectively)
- Wi-Fi
- A-GPS
- Adobe Flash 9.4 support
- Customisable desktop widgets
- Fully-featured media player
Amazon has it listed for pre-order at £469.99 whereas the official price over at the Nokia Shop is £499.99, including VAT.
