LG is also changing its user interface, allowing the screen to split so two apps can be viewed side-by-side.

First, it can display two squares on top of each other (18/9 = 2, duh), which opens the door for a nice, clean UI.

That's not all though, as LG has also given us a sneak peek of what we can expect to see on screen, announcing that the G6 will run the manufacturer's new UX 6.0 which focuses on advanced muti-tasking, an enhanced camera experience and a better way to enjoy games, films and applications.

The new interface of LG G6 can be previewed in this brief video released by the company. It will let users take a picture and then review the photo they just took at the same time in two identical ideal squares.

LG's gone from image teasers to full-blown announcements when it comes to promoting the G6 ahead of its February 26 launch.

LG's new Android overlay is called UX 6.0, it will take advantage of the confirmed 5.7-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. With this, users can shoot images in 1:1 format - a popular format on social media apps such as Instagram - and review them in the adjacent window. More information will be loaded on-screen during searches and e-book reading thanks to the wider viewing angle.

Moving on, LG also revealed that the G6 camera will allow you to simultaneously capture and review photos.

"The dimensions of the phone are ergonomically created to ensure maximum comfort and compatibility with existing and upcoming digital content", says LG. The Food camera mode on the LG G6 will have "high color quality and saturation" that it claims make it excellent for taking food pictures.

The screen nearly completely fills the front of the phone, which will satisfy the many bezel-haters in the Android community - but the really smart bit is the way the domino look is going to be used in the UX. I think users will appreciate the many ways we've made the LG G6 more productive. It shows a plethora of apps that play nicely with its appealing multitasking mode, such as; photos, calendar, and dialler.
